For the first time in Dimension's history, the festival will only move forward based on a community commitment milestone.

The festival landscape in New Zealand has changed significantly. Rising production costs, increasing operational complexity, and the broader pressures on independent events have made it clear that the old model — where organisers carry the full financial risk of significant losses — is no longer sustainable.  Festivals are now incredibly expensive to put it on, and we want to do it, but we just cannot take the risk again.

Rather than compromise the experience or stop doing it, we've made the decision to evolve. This new model ensures the festival is responsible and sustainable for everyone involved — protecting the artists, suppliers, and crew who make Dimension possible — while putting the future of the gathering firmly in the hands of the community.

If the community commits, Dimension happens.

HOW IT WORKS

Think of it like a Kickstarter for festivals — it's up to all of us to make it happen.

Tickets go on sale 3 June 2026.

If we hit our community commitment threshold of 600 tickets sold by 1 September 2026, Dimension 2027 is locked and loaded.

If we don't reach that number, every ticket is fully refunded and the event does not proceed.

  • 3 full festival nights plus one night to rest on-site before travelling home

Car camping, parking, pre-pitched tents and glamping are optional and sold separately form festival entry tickets.

SATURDAY ENTRY PASS
SATURDAY 06 FEB - TUE 09 FEB

  • Access to the festival site from  Saturday 10:00 AM to Tuesday 10:00AM

  • 2 full festival nights plus one night to rest on-site before travelling home.

  • Free tent camping in Valley campgrounds

  • 3 days of music and experiences
