Simiantics is a psy-trance project created by an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of synthesizers.

With influences ranging from early Hallucinogen, X-Dream, and Cosmosis to modern artists such as Ajja, Southwild, Talpa, and Electrypnose, the Simiantics sound is always energetic and psychedelic, and is part of the wonderful family at Peak Records.

Collaborations with artists such as Ajja, Dirty Saffi, Tristan, Aardvarkk, and Asimilon have also been unleashed.

One of the primary aims of the Simiantics project has always been to create an interesting live act. After much experimentation, a setup consisting of Nintendo Wii remotes as well as other MIDI controllers has been devised, which allows live remixing and tweaking in order to respond to the crowd in a visible and entertaining manner.

Simiantics has performed at festivals such as O.Z.O.R.A, Mo:Dem, Dimension, Antaris, Re:Birth, and Atman, as well as parties all over the world, including Goa, UK, New Zealand, Australia, USA, Thailand, Indonesia, and Nepal, all to an overwhelmingly positive response.

Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.

Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.

Now as the organiser of Dimension, he loves to share the raw energy of a proper psytrance party with the world!
