My sound and my offerings are a representation of, and a continuation of the mauri of this whenua that flows through me. I have extensive experience in anchoring in sacred, tribal spaces, and holding them with deep integrity and respect. I am connected to a lot of the whānau that are heading up from Tākaka, so spontaneous co-creation is a high likelihood. I played all the main festivals in the region last summer, including a number of solo shows offering hybrid live multi-instrumental dj sets and sound journeys collaborating with many incredible artists, musicians from Mohua and beyond. My current main offering is a 4 piece band called "KŌHATU" featuring electric guitar, drum kit, multiple handpans, native American style flutes and a bunch of percussive elements.

Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.

Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.

Now as the organiser of Dimension, he loves to share the raw energy of a proper psytrance party with the world!
