TERRA NINE IS A PSYCHEDELIC CHILL ACT FROM NEW ZEALAND.

Terra Nine effortlessly fuses live instrumentation and electronics to produce a truly unique sound, ranging in genre from psybient and psydub through to progressive trance.

The music features a synergy of bowed and plucked string sounds, mangled into mind bending soundscapes poured in real time over a bottom end of organic beats and fat basslines.

Terra Nine is Michael Westcot - on viola, keyboards, computer and other audio devices - and VJ Intelliki providing extraordinary visuals to raise your consciousness.

Terra Nine’s releases include nine albums and numerous EPs, as well as tracks on myriad compilations, all featuring his distinctive mixture of live organic lushness.

Terra Nine’s music has also included collaborations and remixes by and for numerous international

artists - including OTT, Gaudi, Gabriel Le Mar, Kaya Project, Tripswitch, Kuba, Green Beats, Unknown Reality (aka Braincell), AKD, Astropilot, Suduaya, Pete Ardron, KickBong, Squazoid, Trancient Dreams and Noosfaere.

Over the past decade, Terra Nine has toured extensively, worldwide - performing dynamic all-live audio/visual shows that feature electric viola and keyboards through a multitude of twisted effects, alongside his creative partner, VJ Intelliki, providing the perfect live visual accompaniment.

Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.

Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.
