Semilocybe is the electronic music project of DJ, producer, and audio engineer Tim Heil.


Emerging from the Australian bush in 2018, the project has since evolved into a distinctive voice in the global underground, blending psytech and dark progressive into hypnotic, groove-driven journeys.

As a long-standing member of Universal Tribe Records, Semilocybe helps shape the label’s creative direction and curates the Altered Origins VA series. His music has also found homes on Padang Records, Another Psyde Records, and more, earning him shows across Europe and Oceania including Germany, Norway, Switzerland, France, and New Zealand.

Through remixes and collaborations with Millivolt, Doonz, Folic State, Rhabia, Amadan, DMnT and others, Semilocybe continues to explore the shared pulse of the psychedelic community — blurring the line between groove and introspection.

Big Dave stumbled upon a life-altering symphony of sound on the shores of Kariotahi Beach, New Zealand's west coast - the ethereal realm of psychedelic trance. From that serendipitous moment, the course of his life was forever charted in the vibrant waves of electronic music.

Big Dave's quest for sonic enlightenment led him across the globe to the heart of the UK, where he immersed himself in a three-year odyssey through the London underground scene. Here, he found himself at the heart of the action, dancing under the stars at outdoor raves and experiencing the raw energy of illegal ("squat") parties. Amidst the chaos and beats, he forged lifelong connections with fellow music devotees.

Now as the organiser of Dimension, he loves to share the raw energy of a proper psytrance party with the world!
